Spinning Services & Pricelist
We are a custom spinning only business. We have all of our washing and carding done at Dawn's Custom Carding. If you are interested in her services it is best to contact Dawn directly at 253-843-1899 or her website at www.dawnscustomcarding.com for current prices and further information. Be sure to tell her you want the fiber spun and she will know how it needs to be prepared. There is no extra shipping charge between businesses. If you choose to have another processor do your carding that is fine also we only need to receive the roving in loose form.
Our process includes pin drafting, spinning, plying and skeining. Please no fibers over 6 inches. Specify yarn size wanted or better yet send a sample at least 8" long. All yarn will be put up in bobbin skeins. This means what ever is on the bobbin when it comes off the spinning frame, this could be up to a pound and a half. The prices below are on the finished weight of the yarn. There is no minimum, but anything under 1 pound will be charged at the 1 pound rate.

All roving must be absolutely clean or we will have to have it rewashed and re-carded at your expense. You will be contacted if there are any additional charges before we process your fiber.
(If rewashing is also required we will notify you of any additional costs)

NOTE: Between the carding machine and the spinning setup there can be as much as 8 ounces loss of fiber. Rarely is it this much but you can have the same loss whether it is a 1 pound or 100 pounds.
We can do exotics, which include, mohair, llama, alpaca, angora, etc. Some of these fibers spin better with the addition of a small amount of wool and we reserve the right to add the appropriate wool if necessary. As this would include an additional charge, we will call you first before doing so.
Payment Policy: You will be charged on finished weight of yarn only. We accept cash, checks, money orders as well as MasterCard and Visa. You will be notified when your order is complete and what the charges are. We require payment within 30 days of notifying you. After 30 days your order becomes our property and will be sold to recover processing fees.
